yah better roads are a must.

I also forgot which tires the car was on, damn crappy allseasons. oh well, the old reflexes didnt let me down.

and in terms of e36 vs e30, the e36 has a much more advanced rear suspension, but it weighs on average a lot more than an e30. so it really comes down to driver skill and confidence. In a straight line im screwed, but hand me a few corners, and i can catch up.

jsut wait until the 328 goes on a diet. i never use my ac so i think i might lose that next spring. also thinking about some nice light weight seats. bex are the seats that the guy that you know makes light weight and high quality? if so i would consider looking at those. all that should shave a few hundred pounds off

I think all you 3 boys should take a second to realize who has the real power.
I may not have the first 100 meters, but after that I WILL take you.

are they leather? what are they made out of?
do you know what the stock seats weigh?
40 lbs should be a pretty big weight saving.

they come in cloth, fake leather, or real leather. of course the leather ones cost much more. I just realized that the 40 lbs includes the slider assemblies, so the seats actually weigh less than 40lbs. They have full recline, but no tip forward for the coupes. I havent a clue what the stock e36 seat weighs, although i think a stock e30 recaro sport seat (like the ones in my cab) weigh about 70lbs each (i may be wrong).

oh and jybute -- you meantioned that you had a friend who does paintjobs. Could you pass on his name? thanks
