Question 93 bmw 325i not starting, help please!!

i recently changed my cylinder head gasket. it was working fine just that it was smoking out white and knew that it was a faulty head gasket. after i changed the head gasket and put everything back together it didn't start!!

i have no more idea why its not starting...at first my 94 bmw 325i had spark and gas and as of right now my 93 bmw 325i has spark but gas stops at fuel regulater. i just a NEW PRESSURE REGULATER...

i went to a dealer and he said that there isn't air coming in the pressure regulater thats why its not coming. i tried using the quick start fluid the first time and it sounded like it was going to start for a second. fuel pump works. but no fuel going through the fuel rail and spark plugs and to the other end....

i guess is agreeing with the dealer becuase of no air going through the pressure regulater. and its like its stuck just gas pressure building... also when i turn the ignition key to ON, i believe gas is suppose to go through and out the hose in the fuel rail and it does and also air is suppose to be sucking in air from the intake or some kind of noise but NO AIR SUCKING IN or NOISE!!!.

I need help on HOW TO FIX it so iT can get it going...PLAESE... i will answer any question on what i did and what i need to do!!! PLEASE HELP!!!

You probably forgot to reconnect a Vacuum line. Take a look in your engine and look for a small hose that might not be connected to anything. Think about it like this, air is supposed to be getting to the pressure regulator, but it's not. So how does the air get there?

Go to the top of the E36 subforum. I have provided a link to the Bentley Service Manual. It should help you with pictures and instructions.

Check all your fuses. Can you hear the fuel pump priming when you turn the ignition? In the E36 the fuel pump is under the rear seats

Sounds like a misfire. Can you take it to get it scanned for codes? When you say "boom" how loud is it? The smoke, where is it coming from? What color is it?

there is smoke coming from where fuel injectors sit on the exhaust manifold and comes out of the exhaust manifold throughout of the air intake.

the sound is pretty loud and smoke is white comes out when it booms...

when it idles and when "reaving" steaping on the gas...

That's an odd issue. I don't think I've heard of it doing that before. Your saying is coming OUT of the air intake??

The injectors sit on top of the intake manifold. Not the exhaust manifold. Pull your spark plugs to see of theirs any burning or corrosion or other abnormal signs.

If there black that's not a good thing. That usually means your plugs are getting fouled by oil or your running really rich.

i changed the old spark plugs to new spark plugs and the old spark plugs from "cylinder" coil 2,4,5,6 has some black stuff on it not oil looks like rusty fire residue...spark plugs on coil 1, and 3 are good.

note: it smokes from the exhaust manifold "headers" and intake manifold "out".
also it the white smokes smells like coolant...

OK from where it is booming, there is a blue flame that comes out of intake manifold both holes the ICV and out through out the air intake.

==could it be the idle control valve...or could it be the timing?==
what could it be??!?!???

note:is the Idle Control Valve the same thing as the Fuel Injection Idle Speed Stabilizer...
(i was looking and saw these two items looks exactly the same!!?"

also the engine shakes but not a lot enough to feel it shaking a lot different from normal "not normal".
when i speed up engine is smooth until it chocks then it shakes and when not stepping on gas "it sits" it shakes.

please help me

With the issue of the spark plugs the ones that come out black are being fouled. If its not oil them it's gas that's fouling them. Odds are the car is running lean.

If their is white smoke and it smells like coolant odds are pretty good that you have a blown headgasket. Do you notice a loss of coolant with no visible leaks? What color is your oil?

The Idle control valve regulates how the car idles. When it doesn't work the car won't idle and dies right away. They need to be cleaned or they fail over time.

Theirs a blue flame? Coming into the intake manifold? That's not a good thing. Their shouldn't be any flames coming into te intake. Can you take a picture?
