X5d engine vibration

I have a 2001 x5d the engine runs fine but it vibrates on tickover but do not notice it when you rev the engine.

Vibrates when you turn the car on? Just when you turn the car on? What kind of a vibration? Does the whole engine shake?

the whole engine shakes on tick over but runs smooth when revs increase,went to my local and he thinks the injectors need cleaning,he put something in the tank some sort off cleaner which is making the engine alot smoother.

It's a diesel right? I was going to sugget using Techron but I'm not sure if it works for diesel engines. It's a fuel additive that helps clean the fuel system.
