is there a point to having ceramic pads for street use?

Well yes, ceramic pads create a LOT less brake dust, are a lot less noisy and tend to last longer

thanks guys. The rotors have also been known to take a little more bite on the pads which will provide better stoping power. I also plan on getting into some occasional track events so the first thing I wanted to hit up was brakes.

Brakes > suspension

But the pads were about $60-70 on turner.

I went with after market brakes because I plan on gettin in on a few track events and want my car to be able to stop on a dime. PLUS my rotors were alreayd warped and squeeked like a SOB, so I decided this was the perfect time to upgrade. The whole set up cost me about $300.
