I'm through with this crap!

I'm sick of being poor and looking at my poor 2002 rust away in the street. My otherwise reliable Subaru has broken down for some stupid little reason and I'm not counting on being able to fix it. It's for sale: $1000 (92 Loyale wagon 4WD 5 speed) As soon as possible I'm getting the 02 registered and insured and back on the road so I don't have to bike home at midnight. As soon as possible I'm taking her down to Lindorfs and getting the engine rebuilt. I'm working 40 hours a week at $8.10/hr. That's decent, but in a "I get to keep the lights on" kind of way. I want more money. If prostitution was legal, I'd probably do it. If selling organs was legal, I'd have one less kidney and my chunk of my liver would go to the highest bidder as well. I'm 21 years old dammit and I've gone nowhere in a nowhere town. That's about to end. Tomorrow I'm going down to my former primary employer (a temp agency) and telling them to get me every availible job I can possibly work at. I'm cutting costs. No more PS2 games or CDs or $475 a month rent checks. Oh no, I'm moving into a dump of a house with 3 or 4 people and eating beans and rice and saving every dime I can to get out of this financial hole I've been in for almost 2 years now. SMILIES!!!!!!!!!!!111one1111!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1!! (<- oh my) So long poordom, 2002 bliss here I come!

Hey '02OB, I hear your frustrations. I don't know your abilities, but if you can handle some different hours and are somewhat reliable - you can check with your local production company/stagehands. Usually listed in yellow pages under "unions" - the union you want is listed as IATSE - International Association of Theatre & Stage Employees. It's "no brainer" work - pushings road cases, building stages, misc stuff like that. Benefits are get into concerts etc free. It also pays a WHOLE lot better than what you posted. In most cases it's from $15 - $18hr for starting pay. I'll research it out & check with my contacts up your way - hang in their bud

Me too, but not everyday. Even worse is thrifty people who live on mac and cheese or Ramen. That stuff'll kill you someday. You gotta live, man

Darn right.Heated seats save our asses in the winter.

Also here in Alberta there is HUGE demand for skilled trades workers. Construction, oil and gas, mechanics, trades like that have huge demand right now. I know u can make INSANE money on the oil fields up by Fort McMurray, only thing is your away from ur family for months at a time.

I know a guy whos like 17 and he makes $12/h in construction and he can easily make more as he gets more skills.

For all you genius' who use your heated seats for making "rump roast" are not getting the idea behind them. (no pun) They do make good "muffin toasters" but they're for long trips, when you start to get tired you activate the "bum warmers" and they help keep you alert for an additional hour or two. Contrary to turning the heater on, when you get tired your body temp drops so the seats help keep you at "normal operating temperature" temporaily. The high heat setting is for the extra "comfy effect".
