Oil Change: How Often Honestly - Poll

How often do you change your oil or have it changed?

I use full synthetic and I change mine at least every 3000k miles or every other month, which ever comes first.

i find synthetic to be a waste of money. I change mine at the same interval, though.

I use a blend. What viscosity do you use? I use 5w-30.

That's what my OBC is for. I get it serviced when it says it needs it. In the newer BMW's it takes into account how hard you drive it, not how far.

Hello? If you are using Synthetic why don't you change it every 15K miles?

Yeap, it's 3k, unless if you have a fleet vehicle then in that case they put it for 5k miles... Our sticker machine at work is really cool, it's like a small keyboard you just type the mileage desired (+3k or +5k) then press enter and it prints it out with the date +6months ahead....

I'll have to ask the previous owner, she had it serviced at the dealership and i don't want to change the oil type/weight. Once those seals get used to something it is in everyone's best interest to not rock the boat.
