Car Done! ABS code read, Brakes/Rotors checked out for $25!

So I took my car to where my girl takes her Neon.

And I went under the car with the guy, after they lifted it.

We concluded I need new rotors and pads on all 4 wheels within the next 500 to 1000 miles.

My shocks, struts, arms, balls, joints all checked out...so did everything else

Okay the ABS problem is still a mystery. Apparantly all the sensors are cleaned and working, the pump and entire ABS system looks and works fine, the computer read out that there was no problems with the ABS electrical system. The guy told me that only BMW would be able to check it out indept and reset the ABS light.

However, I the guy said my battery's negative connector was not clamped on all the way and was very loose (in fact he easily lifted the neg wire off the terminal point and the car went dead)...he said that could be the cause of the ABS light. A loose battery terminal can momentarily disconnect during a bumpy ride and I won't notice but the car's electrical system can be compromised. Anyway he tightened it and said that I could be the best cause of the ABS mystery.

Anyway I got all that done for $25 and I still gotta take my car to BMW next week.

well at least the check up was cheap.

BTW, does your ABS work? I know the light is on, but it still might function properly

The light is usually off, but it comes on ONLY intermittenly when I'm parallel parking, driving slow, or u-turning for some reason. All I have to is restart the car and the light goes off.

It's still a mystery!

So it is confirmed the light definately ONLY comes on whiles parallel parking and/or u-turning (like in a narrow street). It may have to do with back and forth reversing and driving at slow speeds...which is basically what parallel parking and u-turning is.

Somehow this is setting the ABS light on.....

does anyone know why?

Interesting...but are you sure it is due to a bad sensor?
If so then I may have a bad sensor.

well one connection I made is that when you make U-turns and parrellel park, both of these actions require that you steer all the way in one direction. I honestly don't know how this connects to the ABS, but it may be something to consider.
