Angry Touring Rim guage and tyres

[I] drive a 1998 323 touring and want to upgrade my rims and tyres to 18' and 225 tires. Can i do this without an upgrade to the suspension? If i do have to upgrade the suspension, then what is the biggest rim and tyres i can use without a suspension upgrade?

you shouldn't have to change your suspension but you might need to go with a diffrent thiner tire size. but not to thin. you don't want to much ugly gap. some people put bigger rims on there car and it looks like they raised it. Eww
