95 318i 1222 code- CEL- Help?!

Im somewhat new to the BMW world, but I am a pretty avid wrench- so here's my dilema..
I have a 95 318i w/m42. About a month ago she started running like crap, poor fuel economy, check engine light coming on, and hesitation. She has about 120k on her. I stared by replacing fuel filter, coil, wires, & plugs which helped a little. CEL still coming on. Pulled the code 1221- so I replaced the O2 sensor. Helped a little bit more, but now i still get a CEL and hesitation- now pulling code 1222. I got the bently book and checked everything from airbox to intake and vac lines and cant find anything. MAF is clean, idle is fine, but hesitates when passing or getting up to speed.
Has anyone else run into this head-scratcher?

Any help would be much appreciated!

Thanks!

Have you tried a water remover for the fuel?

There are fuel additives with alcohol which would absorb any water in the fuel.

Most often, water gets into the fuel by condensing on the sides and exposed surfaces of the tank out of simple humidity in the air during times when it's near empty. Keeping the tank near full most of the time should be enough to prevent that.
