Question New member Rochester, NY 2000 M5 help!

Hello All! just joined the site it seems to be the one that comes up when ever I "Google" a question any way! I recently purchased a 2000 M5 from Miami FL and drove it home to Rochester NY, it was an incredible drive (I will post the time after the statute of limitations has expired ).
The other reason I joined was the car has some minor issues the most recent being the passanger door lock will not open either with the key remote or the central lock switch. I'm assuming the actuator has died my problem is how to get to it with the door closed! Is there a trick to removing the interior door panel or is there a way to get the door open manually?
I look forward to hearing from all of you. Also any help with proper etiquette using the site would be welcomed.

Sincerly,
Mik

Just pull the inside door handle twice. With the car unlocked and the alarm disarmed, the first pull unlocks the door, and the 2nd pull opens it.

m5 door issue

Thank you very much for your reply. I tried to open it from the inside but the lock does not stay up after I pull on the handle. The lock button will go up as I pull on it but then goes back down as I release it.

The lock pin is not supposed to stay up. Once you unlock the car by pressing the arrow button on the key, pull the door handle twice. It will open on the 2nd pull.

Check fuses maybe? Sounds like there is setting caught in there stopping it from opening
