Red face e30 vs e36

ok im at the point where ive got to make a up my mind .i have to choose between keeping my 1986 325 e30 or this 1992 325 i sedan e36 .in my state .you can only regester 4 cars in a houshold at a time .i have five bimmers right now wich all but those are in use by variuos famley members . i must choose one to regesterd and insure. the 1992 is the one i just got that has the bogging down problem and im in the middle figuring that out but one both are in road worthy codition wich should i choose e30 is already running tops. hoping e36 will be there soon .wich is the better car in long run?

if you like the e30, keep it, those cars are bullet proof, and they have cheaper parts, but then again it is older. btw, that is so gay!! only 4 cars..!

what type of parts are you looking for? there are plenty, but i was talking about OEM replacement parts, generally the newer the cars the more expensive they are. like for my car 1995, parts for some suspension are about half the price of my brother's car(2001) and i really felt bad for him when he had to replace a few things

Suspension upgrades are out there and brakes on the e30 just run a slightly better pad they really are good brakes.

looks like you've already made a decision, but i'd say definitely keep the E30. for one, they're bullet proof due to the extensive road testing that bmw put them through - unlike the E36, which was pretty much exclusively tested through computer simulations. also, the market is about ready to make E30s a real collectible. you'd regret it if you got rid of one now.

as far as sites for parts go, i like bavauto.com. i've also heard good things about pelicanparts.com, but i haven't had much experience with them.

an e36 is a better car, but if you already have an e30 I would keep that.

E30 parts

few places i always stop and compare prices for my E30 is below, free ground shipping over 50 bux, cant beat that, and many parts they have very competitive pricing, they are local (the autohaus that is) and i can always get my parts the next day.

well nothing beats a junk yard (if you find what you need in good condition) but i dont think i would buy used suspension parts or break pads to begin with, maybe only springs from the junkie
