Need help with a fuel hose leak

Basically its a "can I fix this" question.

Ok. Got a 91 bmw 318i. The hose to the fuel filter has a leak. Not major, but enough to be a money waster.

Now the hose goes up into the floorboard (ill post a pic.) where I cant reach to. Is it feasable to cut the hose, put a connector (if such a thing exisits) and run new hose from the connector to the filter?

Heres a pic of the hose going into the filter.

Heres the hose going up into the area I cant reach (its the one not surrounded by that foam)

Heres the floor pan thats covering where the hose is going

Any help would be appreciated.

you would probably be better off replacing the entire hose. I'll see about how you can reach it.

Looks like you need Part #5 if I am interpreting this correctly, replace the whole line.

Here is the link for refrence too: http://www.realoem.com/bmw/showparts...45&hg=13&fg=10

Yeah. Thats the part.

Found its not as difficult as it appears. just need to take off that plate (2 nuts and a screw) and I can swap the hose out. So I know what im doing this weekend, heh.

You might want to get something to close off the fuel line while you swap them (a cap of sorts). You should also disconect the battery and not have any open flames near it. Should be a pretty easy job.

Follow up question, how do I drop that pan? I got the bolts out and the nut loosened, but the pan will not budge. Tried tapping, and nothing. Am I missing something?
