Maybe 50 years from now home PCs would already be imbedded into the brain so we can mentally control everything and have nothing else to lug around. Remember when the first cell phones arrived? they looked like bricks!!

now u can hide 1 in the palm of your hand...plus do yr shopping, navigate, take photos, videos, edit pics, make video calls, pay for yr train ticket, play music, etc etc...

Now if they could only improve the dropped calls and fading signals. Yep, they do everything- except what they're supposed to do.

no computer language has ever officially died. They should but some jackass somewhere is using it for something. a few years ago a was doing contract work at a plastics plant ( a rather nameless large plastics plant ) and they still had a mainframe and one of the lines was controlled by a 386, and it would forever be a 386 because they couldn't replace it without redoing the whole line.

In fact somewhere here I have a brand new hard drive a 10G scsi which is locked at 540M because of the old dos limits. So without changing the board it will never use the rest of the space and will never report anything except 540M. It is for medical equipment.

isn't the slow adoption of technology great.
