Brake check light

I'm finishing a 14 month overhaul of a '87 325e (spare time project). I'm down to a few electrical issues I need help with. The Brake Check light in the overhead panel is continuously on. I've checked the tail light housings and connections, repalced the check light switch module (mounted in the trunk) and performed wire checks for grounds. On a few occasions the light will go out, but not stay out for long. Any ideas or similar problems in this area to pass on?
Thanks.

what is the brake check light? Does it say Brake Lining? If it says brake lining you need new brake pad sensors, and possibly new pads(only if they have worn down). If you really heated up the brakes it might trip a sensor too (i keep triping them at the track).

as nick said...check the brake lining sensors. Mine wasnt attached the the rear control arm right and was almost ripped out while taking a turn..causing the light to occasionally flicker due to conection problems.

it could also be flickering because the actual bulb in the instrument cluster is loose.

Thanks guys. The linings and sensors are good. This light is above the rear view mirror with six other check light features, (eg coolant level, washer fluid level, brake fluid level, etc). The brake check light alerts the drive that a brake light bulb or bulbs are burned out. But mine are all working.
Thanks anyway.

How about that 3rd brake light in the rear window? That one is easily missed.
