why are 7's so sexy?

I know, because there big, powerful and you can fit like 5 ladies inside.

Because there headaches to work on and cost 2x as much as you pay for your 5 series to fix.

They just are!

I love the e38s, e65/e66s.

Especially the 760Li(s)!

A car I want badly is a pre 8/90 e32 735i 5 speed. It would be so cool, because there is no other car that big with a manual tranmission. Anywhere.

Antiburn has a point - the old 7s are notorius for vacuum actuator failures (in dash for heat/AC vents) the parts are damn near impossible to find (even new @ dealers) and is labor intense something like 6+ hours to disassemble dash just to get to them. Plus there has to be a
1/2 mile of vac lines in the dash.
When they run, they are great. But when they "burp" - get out your checkbook. If you get one, hoard about 5 more for parts.

I asked why they are so sexy, not why do people prefer a 5series over a 7 series.

I personally prefer the 98's 7 series, by far the best looking ones if you ask me

Plus a 750, is just wow

But I'd have to say this is by far my favorite 7 series

IMO, 2001 740iL with sport package, steel grey with black interior. Best 7 ever made. Ofcourse it had the OEM clear corners which just adds that much more cool factor to it.

Yesterday I was driving behind a 760Li and eventually stopped at a light right next to it. The driver was a short woman with big ass sunglasses with "CHANEL" written across the side in what looked like diamonds. I think I'd just use the car to make the point.

Driving one.....takes you in a whole different world.
Been there, done that.

But, I haven't driven the NEW 760s.

Yes, 7s are sexy.
