Building a new TOY for the wife

Going to build this inside her present big tower case

MS WINDOWS XP PRO X64 % - OEM

MB|MSI K8N NEO4 PLATINUM NF4ULTRA R -

G.SKILL 2X1G F1-3200PHU2-2GBZX R -

CPU FAN | ZALMAN CNPS 9500 LED -

CPU AMD 64 |4200+ ATHLON X2 939P RT

MSI | 7800 PCI-E NX7800GTX-VT2D256E

CPU THERMPASTE|ARCTIC SILVER5 3.5G% - OEM

And this so I can set up a fast network for an internal server for her study databases

GAME ROUTER DLINK|DGL-4100 -

I don't think that the servers she plays online games on will catch up for a while

OH and they just hooked up FIOS Friday 15,000 down 1700 up

if you didnt already get it, see if you can find another brand, other than MSI, thier customer support is horrible, one time i ordered a mobo from them that didnt support my CPU, even thought it said it did, i called them for like two weeks straight and no one knew the answer until the last time the guy just said its incompatable.. for the cheap brands, FIC i think is the best, then there are Asus(also AS Rock America is generic form of Asus, it is asus though) and there is Abit, gigabyte..

Actually 14,900kbps at Speakeasy San Francisco

I have had extremely good luck on the last 3 MSI motherboards I have purchased. Unless this one is a total turd (Hot Hardware's Editors choice too so it shouldn't be) I will continue to buy them as my first choice.

The worst that I have had were FIC but that was in the early days of the Via chip sets. Even had one that would only run for 10 minutes without random crashes as a Tower but would run forever as a Desktop.

wELL iVE BEEN A biG msi FAN EVERY pc I BUILD IS bASED ON THAT MAKE,. they make good enough products, to last a very long time. ive had my KT7 DELTA BOARD FOR OVER 4 YEARS NOW. its been as good as it was when i bought it. As for the tech support ive never had to call um since i havent had any problems.

Another good make out there i would go with is Abit they have been making better boards.

just my 2 cents.
