Roads Less Traveled

Anyone know of any roads to drive on a Saturday afternoon? I live in Alameday County near Pleasanton/Livermore. I've heard Tesla Road is good. Anybody else? I used to drive Norris Canyon Road from San Ramon to San Leandro back in the day. Just looking for a few suggestions in my area.

Thanks,
Kirk

Yo. I live in the north bay. Theres more roads then i count to drive up here.

Depending on how far u are willing to drive.

Try the coast, its a nice ride. About 2 hours north of SF on Highway 1 theres a place called see ranch. You take a right onto a road named anapollis. 60miles of nothing but turns.

That whole area is filled with sweet roads.

Try 128 to Butts canyon road(off of highway 29 in the napa valley).

Or just 128 in general, its a fun road.

Might consider skyline in san mateo area. Ive gone on a few runs out there...fun drive. Basically any backroad out there is fun also. Just take a right turn somewhere random.

AND then if your in the northbay might want to try a road that runs from Cotati to the coast, and then back up there petaluma. (watch out on this one cause my bud flipped his car here)

All of these roads are sweet. Not many cops. Good turns.Just keep it safe.

Tell me if you want more details on any of these.

Hey thanks. I've lived in the Bay Area for around 25 years and have never been to Napa. That's a trip I'll have to make this summer with the family. I've researched a ride this Saturday with my buddy. We just bought our first BMWs about 2 months ago. We work on 'em every Saturday. It's time for a drive. I'm planning on going up 680, getting off at Bollinger Canyon and taking Norris Canyon into Cull Canyon Rec park. Then we'll head back up Crow Canyon Road.

The last time I was on Norris Canyon was about 20 years ago. I was driving a Fiat and my buddy was driving an old Toyota Corola. This time it will be in two BMWs.

haha sweet. Fiat ftw.

Yea i havent been out those roads. Ill have to check em out sometime.

have fun
BTW napa valley is pretty quiet. Outside of massages, alright restaurants and wine you wont find much. Calistoga and St. Helena are good places to check out, they have a bunch of small shops and a way different atmosphere from the bay.

Did somone say Wine?? Yes, I'm into that. I've made two batches of wine from kits this year. That will be a big part of the trip. Have to satisfy all the senses.
