Ok, so my steering rack is taking fluid like an irish drunk. so its time to replace.
I am thinking about a rebuilt Z3 rack from a 1.9 or 2.8 liter. They have a 2.7 lock to lock rack. Which is a big difference from my 4.0 lock to lock.
Now does anyone know what will be involoved with the swap? Im gonna be taking it to a friend shop and doing it on a rack. I know control arms, sway bars tie rods..etc. Will i have to lift the engine?
Also, im gonna swap in new tie rods and the shaft to my steering wheel(its clanking..heh)
anything else to think about?
maybe new PS lines while i got it all apart?
