Just get 2 tires with the same amount of tread and they obviously have to be the same size to fit the rim.
You should be ok. Yeah, tell your mom that you need to be more independent and get your licence so that you can 1) get a job 2) prove that you can be independant 3) You can stop bothering her for $$$ to pay for stuff.
My sister is 16 and she has a waitress job and is making bank, like $50-$80 per day on the weekends only.
thanks. and I'l just have to keep trying to get her to take me to get it..if I keep bugging her about it she will eventually do it..the only thing about me getting a job is that I absolutely refuse to work in any fast food and most restaurants. So that doesn't leave too much for a 16 year old..I'm going to try the nice hotels and some small businesses first..then if I have no choice I might end up at an italian restaurant that my friend busses at..he is making about what your sister makes..
^^^ i think it was in the other thread that i mentioned that those tire repair kits throw the weight off in a tire. even a patch on the inside does it, that why it needs to be rebalanced after its remounted.
any extra weight will throw the balance off. also, since the tires structural integrity has been compromised with the hole, you cant hold the tire to the same expectations such as rated top speed.
but like i said in the other thread, for any regular driving you would be fine with a plug, patch, etc. sorry for the confusion
edit: i just read my second sentence. anytime a tire is remounted it has to be rebalanced. . .
ok then I will take it back and have them patch it..and if they won't I will take it somewhere else..heh..I think it was actually just that I was getting tired..but oh well..I get it now thank you.
eh...I was outside looking at the tire a minute ago and I found the leak..it's on the side wall..sooo what tires should I replace the back ones with..the ones on it don't come in that size anymore..at least on tirerack..They have goodyear eagle f1 gsd3's are only 136..thats the highest I think I want to pay..any better ones for that about 140 or lower? I don't know much about tires but they seem like the best for the price.
well..I will iether get them probably or some cheap ones that will alst about as long as whats on the front and replace all four when they are ready..but yeah 215/40/17
UPDATE:I finally got the car to a tire store on saturday and they said the tread on the other tires was fine to just put one new one on. So luckily I only had to get one. I think the total was like 130 with the install..
