well really makes me mad is that no one here in the complex i live in cares how they park. and i have to have the bimmer parked out their with them for most of the day and night when im home

I do the same thing. It's safer anyhow . . like Numark said, when you park w/ the back in, you have better situational awareness, but when you have to back out of a spot, sometimes it's hard to see if anyone is coming. I also park further away in an empty area if possible for 2 reasons: 1) so no one hits me, and 2) it's more obvious is someone is trying to break into your ride . . with no other cars close by, they got nowhere to hide behind.

yah. its been known to happen.  some times its best to be able to get out before the proverbial **** hits the fan, or the cops show. also nothing says "hey im kinda tipsy" then trying to make a back up infront of a cop

that reminds me... a few days ago i was picking up my little brother from basketball practice and there was alot of people there, this one guy in an older merc was blocked in, so he stuck it into drive and took the sidewalk. that was just about the funniest thing i ever saw. and while i was there, this stupid lady thought it would be funny to park behind me, she was parked in the middle of the road blocking traffic. now if thats not the worst parking job ever i dont know what is. |
