let us know what it is, if you pursue it further. Maybe we can accumulate a bunch of transmission info on ALL trans - sticks & autos for an info section on trans'.

yeah that would be cool, if it is too messed up ill put in a 5 speed, and finally fix everything on my car. Well I guess 70% chance of me doing that, or just doing the bare minimum to have it running smoothly and sell it.

gah im so dumb, after driving it some more it was making a drrrrrrrrr sound. AKA spark plugs, or coils are bad, so im going to check them now, I hope its just a plug or 2...
Damn dude, your car sounds like it needs a "cars-pital". It's not old enough to be eligble for "motocaid" (don't worry I won't add "handi-capped) Sounds like she needs a good thorough maintenance weekend. Sorry to hear about all her woes.

yeah it is kind of annoying so right now im putting in new mid speakers I got for $25 shipped!, checking spark plugs/coils, oil leak, had for over a year now, power steering leaks, tail light problem when I turn on my headlights it blows out my instrument cluster, and right tail light, im going to be working on this for a while...
Well at least my truck is almost ready to be registered so I can drive that.
its not the tranny. Its spark plugs, or coil. I just needed to drive it more to find out, took it to my mechanic this morning also, for his opinion.
I bet that's somewhat of a releif. By your previous post it almost sounded like she needed crutches...lol Sounds like get your truck ready for daily duty and do catch up on bimmer at your leisure.
(My assistant Shelley says "Young man you should be spanked for letting your BMW get that way" If you saw Shelley, you'ld beg to get spanked I'll get a copy of her lanyard pic later, she's breathing over my shoulder currently)
Even if it isn't the Tranny, a fluid/filter change is a good idea. I did it myself on my '95 325i and it wasn't bad, I just followed the link below. Pelican Parts has a lot of great Tech DIY.

thanks yeah. And it literally happened out of nowhere so not much I could do to fix it. I drove it around the block after new plugs and it helped a lot! And im not going to do anything to the auto tranny because im putting in a manual. I've been working on my truck for a while so it should be good soon, still backfires, so ill get it registered, fix that and go offroading!
