why my parents are stupid.
ok so today i want to go to town, but i cant, because im driving the car to much. so i offer to take the van, they say no. why not this time? because i dont need to. thats funny... a few weeks ago they were telling me i need to get out more, and now they are forcing me to stay home. any one els think thats messed up? now the only way i can drive the car, or the van(i preffer the car, but driving is drivin,(i enjoy driving)) is going to get the mail(its a good 2-3 mile drive) or "me wanting to go take some pics"(witch i realy do). i could see why they wouldnt want me to go if they were paying for the gas, BUT I AM, thats retarded. i pay for gas, i should be able to drive. next time i go to town im going to run the van compleatly empty(but enough to get me home) and let them deal with it(ok im not actualy going to do that, but i can dream.)

that sounds like when they tell me that me staying out late isn't a trust issue. then they say that i "just don't need to be out past 11:30. I don't think that they've grasped yet that I'll be 1,000 miles away come august.

Do you have video games.
My parents were the same way....
I was gaming ALL the time...playing GT4, NCAA College Football, anything and everything.
Nope, they said get a job.
I got a job, and was hardly there....and they didn't say anything.
That's how it's been ever since.
Hang in there....it'll get better.
You have us.

^^^ do you have siblings? If so are you the first?
I ask because I have an older brother and I ALWAYS got more privaleges than he did. I had a later curfew (SP?), was able to get a job and buy my own car, so on and so forth. If you have younger brothers or sisters they might just be like that since they don't want them getting a bad influence. Just a thought

Wow, this is an age old issue if I ever saw one. When I was younger, I used to cruise around all day(but that was when gas was a buck nineteen). Now as an adult, I squeeze every bit out of that gas pump. If your parents do their job well, then someday you'll be an asshole to your kids, too. And Craig, there's nothing wrong with your needs or desires, but some things you just gotta take on faith . . . older and younger generations just have different priorities, that's all

^^haha, no my parents paretns just were tight asses about everything and they knew how much they hated it... so they started giving me more and more trust at early ages... then when i was about 16-17 i got pretty much complete control of my life.
David
P.S. i would say i didnt mess it up to bad either! haha, granted ihave done some stupid things.. but oh well, all part of growingup!

Same for me. I got more privelages than my bro for sure. He's responsible if I don't get good grades. My dad points fingers at my bro for my grades.
