Kids and parents today
Yea, there's 2ft of snow outside, and my bro in law and I are out busting our asses clearing it off the property. Meanwhile his son is inside playing video games. When I was his age I was making money shoveling the neighbors' sidewalks. What the fuck is wrong with parents today? Doesn't anybody know how to raise kids anymore?! That's why everybody's all about themselves, and they're all lazy motherfuckers these days, because they were never taught discipline and good habits at an early age

Doctor Benjamin Spock started it in the 50's with the theory that discipline was bad for kids.
Then when the kids that grew up with parents that lived by Spock grew up. They KNEW that any kind of Dicipline DESTROYED their little shits psychologically and demanded/passed laws making any type of Dicipline = Child Abuse.
After all look at how well they did!! And now their kids are so much better than those of less liberated parents!!! You know, those animals that keep Abusing (correcting) their children rather than letting them run FREE!!

Yea i think i'm gonna make my kids do shit like that, i mean i had to and when i see some of my friends who have done whatever they wanted their whole life and gotten away with it, they dont even give a shit about their future and its no way to live. If you actually have some responsibility and accountability i think it makes you a better person with more goals and a better head on your shoulders.

hmmm, that wouldn't fly in my house. I'm still a teenager and let me say, I think my parents have done a pretty good job at raising me. I may have hated it when I was younger, but now I'm seeing kids with no work ethic that are probably gonna have some harder times when they get a real job. The car in the sig is mine btw, I worked my ass off for it, which is something that I'm thankful my dad made me do. Some d-bag at my school just got a 95 M3 from his parents. I will admit I am a little jelous...but I know he doesn't appreciate it as much as I appreciate my car.
BTW my parents spanked me more than I can remeber...its funny cause when I was younger they would always tell me they did it because they loved me that always confused me, but I get it now.

The problem is it can be difficult to know where to draw the line between correcting and abuse. The minimium amount of punishment required to effect the required positive change. Anything over that and you are tending toward abuse. My father didn't know where the line was so as a result I overcompensate and under punish. It's really difficult trying to raise children especially when you have a culture that rewards stupidity and punishes the conservative family values that you want your children to learn. I've been working at this for 10 years, I may figure it out in the next 10.
But I will say this my children are not little punks running around doing whatever they wish and hurting people. So it must be working.
