325is Turbo Project, Engine upgrades?

I need some help on what I should upgrade on my 325's engine?
I wouldn't be asking this, but since the 325's engine has 260,000 on a stock engine, the engine still feels very strong, but I know if I add a turbo to this engine the way it is, something is going to blow,
even with low psi.
So my question is what should I buy to get my engine worthly of a turbo? New head? new pistons? new cams?
Any help would be great, because I'm getting tired of getting beat by those v8's.
Turbo is already ordered.
Thanks!

Thanks! Now should I just go with stock pistons or upgrade to something a lil more beefy?

O and I also have the CRS, and it really sucks when having a gf! lol

I would think tougher rings and maybe main crank bearings

i wouldnt go stock, just b/c that if you are replacing them anyway, might as well upgrade because they will last longer

oh yes, and CRS disease, lol props to c1apton for that one

Sell, it and buy one with less miles. That way the suspension has more time on it along with the engine.

I'm in the process of puting a turbo on my 325i M50. I would re-build the engine with stock internals for up to 400 HP at the crank. The internals on this engine are exceptionally strong and need no upgrading. To turbo an engine, you must lower the compression to 8.9 lbs. or lower (our engines are slightly above 10 lbs). You can do this with either a thicker head gasket or lower compression pistons. If I was rebuilding the bottom end, I would problobly go with lower compressoin pistons but that will run you $1,300 or more. Your best bet is a kit, or at very least use a tuner to help you put the system together. Talk to Mike McCoy at TRM, his web site is: www.racersmarket.net.

Good luck.
