Open door beep
 
Ok, my E36 used to beep when I had my door open and

1) Key was in the ignition
2) Lights were on (VERY useful)

Now my E46, the car beeps when the door is open, period. Someone told me there should be a different tone when the key is in the ignition and someone told me it should not beep at all if the key is not in.

What is the deal?

FYI, one guy put his computer analyzer thing on there (a mid-cheaper model) and it showed no computer errors.

Its not supposed to unless you leave the key in the ignition. What is possible, is the ignition still believes the key is inserted. It happened with an old key in my E36. As the key wore down it couldnt always tell I had taken it out. With my new key it doesnt do it.

Well hopefully when I get my 2 brand new keys working properly, see if that fixes the problem first then... if not/or now, check the fuses.

Some told me it may be some misplaced or bad fuses, ya?

I took a pic of the fuses.., is it just me or does it seem like some of the fuses I need are missing? Not sure if u know much about this or not....

The label is generic to all models. The reason is not all models came with every option, but the fuse block was the same. You may notice some "missing" but it probably means you don't have those options. If you were missing a fuse, you would probably notice it.
