Oil seeping under valve cover gasket.

I got an engine indicator light for an oil change. It's an hour to the dealer, a day without the car, another hour to pick it up (each way) so I decided to change my own oil. That went well and I also reset the oil indicator light. What gave me some concern was I saw oil around the valve cover seam. It looks like BMW uses silicon valve cover gaskets and after 70000+ miles oil has found its way between the head and the gasket.

I wiped it down with a rag and will monitor the situation. Any posters out there have a similar experience? Remedy? The car is running great.

06 325XI Automatic.

Thankss
