School shooting

I'm sure you have all heard of the school shooting in Illinois yesterday. Is it me, or are these shooting becoming a fad? do i have to wear a flak jacket to school? should i bring my gun to school, just to defend myself and others?

nice fresh unarmed students all congregating in a room is a perfect target for some whacko who just wants to kill as many people as possible before kills himself. it is sad and infuriating how easy it is to do this. what is being done to make it harder to shoot up a bunch of students? campus police can't do crap! At the University of Delaware, campus cops are not allowed to carry a gun!! ha ha! get that! they have to club a campus shooter to death with their little night sticks!

Some things just can't be explained...

iamcreepingdeath 02-15-2008 11:29 AM

every person i talk to has a different explanation...

one person said violent movies are to be blamed.

I think that is ridiculous.

witeshark 02-15-2008 01:25 PM

Ridiculous and stupid, along with that idiotic video game theory.

celsdogg 02-15-2008 03:56 PM

^^^ yeah, i saw jackass thompson on the news this morning trying to push his theory.

I saw this yesterday and my first thoughts were fuck not again, its really unfortunate that things like this happen and there is not a good reason for it.

My daughters will carry a concealed weapon and be required to sit in the front row of every lecture they attend. We will put a stop to this shit.

You know what I think it is, its the professors giving the students too much work, they sit there studying and doing work for hours and it is easy to go nutz like that. They go nutz because they go from high school and getting no work to having to study for hours. It think professors should take it easy on the work. By the way, I am a senior in high school right now, and I am now scared to go to college without a bullet proof vest and a gun.

HA HA! that's awesome!! i'm tempted to pack my Glock, but if i ever did that i would be locked up for life.

MTurbo- what are you going to study in college, I think you will generally find that people aren't too overworked. I wouldn't bother with a vest on a college campus its still a rare occurrence just keep your guard up and stay aware of stuff thats going on and you should be fine.

nagolskram 02-16-2008 05:25 PM

It was really scary for me cause im originally from IL and my best friend and many of my close friends from high school go to NIU. luckily everyone i knew is ok, but they are all scared to go back to school, i mean i would be too. It's just ridiculous how someone even thinks about doing something like this!

pswirley 02-16-2008 05:25 PM

Arm yourselves and go to school. The pen is mightier than sword. If the pen fails shoot the motherfucker with the gun pointed at you.

MTurboPower3 02-16-2008 06:01 PM

I am going for Finance. But I'm going for that right away, First I am going to the community college in my area to finish all of the classes that I didn't take in High and also because with my grades I couldn't get into a normal college. I am going to transfer after my sophmore year to one of the big colleges in Philadelphia, Drexel, Temple, LaSalle maybe even University of Pennsylvania. Does anyone know any colleges with a good business school?

cainchapman 02-16-2008 06:10 PM

Move to a sane country where carrying guns isn't accepted.

MTurboPower3 02-16-2008 08:13 PM

ahhahaha I wish I could, but I was thinking of moving to Europe after I graduate and make a little money.
