cracked exhaust manifold?

What model is your car? The manifolds have the cats attached and they are expensive!! You sure its not a gasket problem?:D

denyo77 09-21-2007 12:20 PM

well, I heard of this happening a lot before, though never on Bimmers,
mostly on new Peugeots/Renaults/Citroens and other sh*ts like that

eurocarman 09-21-2007 04:36 PM

Well before we start running down BMW's I have still to hear how many miles this car has and if its even the manifold/cats that are the problem.
Please don't compare a BMW to Peugeots/Renaults/Citroens because there is no comparison.

IDT that Denyo was comparing a BMW to those cars. He just stated that he has seen them get cracked on some other cars.

I saw a 325i here at Hockenheim and he cracked his headers at the flange. and the engine wasn't even that warm.

I really don't think it matters what kinda car it is
they just cant make the parts the same every time some times there is just a bad one no matter how good the inspection is

Rooz 03-15-2008 09:12 PM

Sounds like the perfect excuse for headers :)
