I just picked up a winter beater. $800. I think it will be the best car I have ever owned for less than $3000. the lady I bought it from is the original owner. She was practically in tears when she signed the bill of sale overto me.

Oh, and any tips for storing my 5'er.?
I'll probably just cahnge the oil and the anti freeze/coolant. Maybe lube up all the door hinges and such. disconect the batery. Or maybe one of those chargers that plugs into your cigarete lighter?

Don't forget to put "stabil" in the fuel for the winter. (Fill it & add stabil)

You might want to start it once a week or so.

Curious, did u get the beater because:

1) cheap?
2) it's a Honda?
3) it's FWD?

I can understand cheap and that it would be a Honda (longevity and all) but it's not because it's FWD, right?

He got it to store the BMW for winter, idiot drivers who can't drive responsibly on snow, and to prevent the BMW from being exposed to the road salt and other crap they put down on "Great White North" roads. I'm looking forward to two weeks off back in Minn to play with my Urban Assalt Vehicle Ricers beware

Actually he probably got it to get even with all the "door slammers" in parking lots. That's my first goal when I get home on Weds - hassle all the idiots on the roads for the next 2 weeks. Maybe even hit a few, just for laughs...

Actually, you are both right. Except the FWD part by dough.

The best car I ever had was a '90 prelude. The car was ass ugly, but in 3 years all I had to do to it was put an alternator. And that was cause my son kept leaving the headlights on when he was playing in it.

I know I sound contradictory what with buying an Asian car and all, but come on... it's a winter beater. And my passion and love will always lay with the "BIMMER".

Just ask my wife.

It goes like this.... honestly.

1-Wife/Kids/Family

2-Car(535i)/Job/Hockey

3-Goodfood/Food

4-there is nothing else.
