Recent advances in electric/battery power is amazing. Just saw an article on a Chrysler Crossfire that had been fitted with battery pack made up of cell phone batteries (in place of fuel tank) & electric motor.

Cruise range -300 miles between charges
Top Speed 120 MPH
Weighs 635 lbs lighter than original

They keep this up & OPEC is going to have ALOT of "black fishin' holes"
(I know it's going to be years ... but the thought of those crooked bastards taking it up the ass is the best payback... can you say KARMA?

Probably because that is the chassis it is based on.

Was it me, or did anyone else think the Porsche & Ferrari should have launched much quicker than they did?

Doesn't matter, they still would've lost.

Yea, saw a vid on Top Gear of the Atom: 300hp beast. Only thing is, like others have said, this little guy is the same chassis, but the engine was swapped out. Odd thing is, the Atom is ~$72,000 from england, but the X1 is $150,000. What's up with that?

Hopefully, car manufacturers will continue to improve on the "fuel/electric" battery for a car in order to eliminate our reliance on fossil fuels.

hopefully some will, but others will stay true to the internal combustion engine and keep giving us the performance we desire.
