Test drove a Ford Fusion

so me and a bud got bored today and decided to test drive some cars. We wanted to start at the begining of the strip. It was a ford dealship, so naturally we were like...eh...but decided to try something out. We talk to the guy, tell him were considering buying a car. So he gives us a Ford Fusion fully loaded V6.

Engine-Eh...speed wise it was not impressive whats so ever. Quiet, nimble engine. Would spin the tires very easily but not much more then that. Its got 203hp and 207 torque. ~3700lbs

Handling- I took it on a highway road, did some manuvers, moved the car left and right. More body roll then i expected. Dont think it would to too bad, but my E30 still handles better IMO. It didnt feel very solid above 50. I mean it doesnt even come close to my 15 year old E30. Still a semi comfortable ride.

Interior-Nicer then any jap car in the price range. Has some interior class for the price. The guage cluster was a little odd since it was offset from the rest of the console. The leather was nice, and the plastic components seemed to stay attached when played with, unlike other new cheap cars ive been in.

Exterior- well you guys can judge this. I personally liked it. Although its still a ford i think they got the right idea.

Still not a BMW, but its ok compared to other Fords.

Overall- Would not buy one, but it seems like a reliable, slightly overpriced family sedan. Handles ok, has an alright amount of power and looks decent.

After this we went to test drive a dodge Charger Daytona. Its like 360~ power i believe. Thing hauled some serious ass. A little builky for me but my friend really liked it. 35k seems like a semiresonable price for that much power and comfort though.

I really like the dogde Charger. It;s beautiful and look very powerful and sporty. I wish there's one in Brunei.

I saw one in Oman and Dubai(last december) and it's so beautiful..Same goes to chrysler 300c..It's very nice...

IMO the Dodge Charger beats many BMW shape...in terms of sporty looks...

I'm not a fan of the looks.

Haha, watch out Top Gear, Numark is coming for you with his expert reviews. lol

Honestly, the vibe associated with the blue oval ford logo detracts from the car. When you see that badge on it, it hurts the car's image imo. That badge belongs on trucks.

hate to post twice, but im a noob and cant edit and quote reply.

Yea the 300c and the Charger on built on an E class mercedes chassis. Same tranny also.
I also like how the charger kept the american mucsle image. I guess in Dubai it would be rare, but when u see 10 a day they get old.

you have to remember what these cars cost versus what our cars cost back in the day. our cars were built to a higher degree of customer, and they still retain this. in 10 years, compare your e36 versus the fusion. chances are, it'll STILL be nicer.

It looks to me that Ford put some serious effort in the car

very true. I still get comments on how nice my car is, and ive had people tell me they thought it was a mid 90's car yea i guess your right when u say BMW made for a dfferent group of buyers.

witeshark:
I agree
In all honesty though they did an ok job, and outdid my expectations.
