Dodge.s Hornet concept is aptly named. Every trend that has created a buzz on the automotive scene in the past few years can be seen on this little stinger. The Mini Cooper remains the huge success everyone expected it to be, and since Dodge loaned out the Neon 1.6-liter engine for that car, it makes sense that it would want a share of the B-segment spotlight. Thus, the Hornet borrows the Mini.s basic shape (although it is nine inches longer and ten inches wider) and cool full-glass roof. Dodge then added a touch of Scion xB boxyness because interior space is hip these days. And what is trendy if not the Mazda RX-8.s rear half-doors? Throw in a kink of the rear side window and proportionally huge 19-inch wheels, and voilá, you have one fashionable little car. And while street racers have been using colorful window tints for years, Dodge can at least take credit for being the first manufacturer to consider offering the option. The concept is shown with blue glass, but if the Hornet goes into production, Dodge would offer a variety of colors. .The idea is that the car would be available in a limited number of colors,. said Mark Moushegian, principal exterior designer. .The customer selects the contrasting glass color of his or her choice as an accent..
..intresting. at first glance i like it. But considering I thought the same of the new scions and the neon, not sure.
I think it would sell pretty good, since most people in the younger crowd like the mini, and dont really know the european difference(or cant afford it).
whats up with those mirrors?
Engine? Suspension? anything more.

you know, being a complete german car fan, america does have some good cars ,vette z06, ford gt for example. Most of the rest of them suck majorly. And where in the world did dodge get the design ideas for the hornet... if they say movies, they should realize toyota's matrix was a big flop.
anything under ten cylinders and 500 HP shouldn't deserve a dodge symbol
...i know someone with a 2005 viper...he says hes not happy with it.

It's not a very good track car from what i've heard from magazines, hard to control, unless suspension work is done. I'm talking about the previous model, not the newer ones, srt-10?
probaly because it's too much car for everyone except the best of the best drivers.
one of the drivers of lateral G racing (from sweden) loves the viper and he is pretty good with it on the tracks as well. Of course the car was modded to suit his style
