Which is the best looking?For me it's the W140 and the new shape W221.

The thing I never got about Mercs is that their looks get tired so fast..was faster than BMWs.
Also Mercs to me are all about show...even performance is all show...
A good example:
My girlfriend's pop s55 AMG has about 496 HP, the s600 cars has something like 693 HP...but then again those are basically taxi cabs for rich folks and Mercedes company don't give them titles as track, or sporty cars...
Now the BMW M6 is different...

any I like the current generation...but then agian I've always only like the current generation of all mercedes cars...and hated past generations in term of look.

But when it comes to BMWs...I'd buy a restored 2002 Alpina over the E90 anyday...and I like the E90

wheres the "none" option???? I seriouslt hate the look of all newer mercs, the best ones were the 60's and earlier. I completely agree with the dated look thing. I mean i drive a 17 year old BMW, yet people think its from the mid 90's, but my friend with a 190e everyone thinks its from the 70's.

People thought your bimmer is from the mid 90s??I guess that means E36 would be consider new to them?

I agree with you the 190E is ulgy except the 190 Evo II.The shape of the 190 mercedes looks like a design from the 70s..

when i first got my car(s), all my friends thought that they were maybe 10 years old, and were amazed that they are actually 17/18 years old. They are very advanced for their time though, my grandfather has an 86 chevy s10 and that thing is so primitive compared to my cars, wouldnt be suprised if a 2002tii had more electrics than it does.

I agree with delmarco, I would much rather spend $40,000 on a couple of e30s with everythign done to them, than $40,000 on an e90 or even an e46, and even an e36. The new cars are nice and all, but they have too much to go wrong with them, and there is no way in hell you will be able to do anything yourself. Heck, i wont even buy an e36 because they are too electronic and computer engineered, well if i must a euro m3, but thats it. Newest i would go if it was my money, and i actually had to worry about paying for maintenance would be an e34, and thats pushing it.

im one for the 90's model. I like the nwer stuff...but eh MB isnt my thing..my boses 80$ G500 spent more time in the shp then it did int he driveway. same with the sl500. wtf.
eh like said above..people buy them for the name MB.

damm straight. i do know that the SL65 AMG powered by its 604hp 6.5L V12 twin turbo will do zero-60 in about 3.4-3.5 seconds flat with a top speed of over 180mph with the limiter gone. And that will beat out any stock M, maybe even the M6 but well have to wait and see
