Toyota pickups?
Anybody know anything about the T100's? or the tundras? My dad wants a new pickup and we're done with american cars.
Are there any forums out there i could get info at? |
I have heard good things about Toyota reliability. :drive2

I've had a 1993 for over 10 years, never left me stranded and cost me only minimal maintenance through normal use. No big repairs or reliabilty issues. Many Toyotas will run close to 300,000 miles as long as you take care of them. Search the Yahoo forums and get a start for Toyota forums there.....
1990 325is 1993 Toyota SR-5 V- 6 1997 Mazda Miata :drive2 |
It's a Toyota man -- it's gonna run forever.

actually, the only thing american cars are know for is their trucks, they say ford trucks are the best, thast the one thing to buy from them, lol, but then again, top gear did this show with a toyota helix.. dont know fi you saw it

:werd my dad had a corolla for like 18 years and it had upwards of 275,000 miles on it, till some lady crashed into him (bitch) but all the maintenence costs were just oil changes, air filters, tires... etc... nothing costly. the odometer did stop at 260,000 but we think that the card had over 275 based on my dad's daily commute. |

toyotas are nice trucks
if i got a pickup truck, it would be a toyota tacoma pre runner the tundras are nice too..my friends just got one |
that unstable feeling was either the alignment or the universal ball joint. nothing too costly to replace. we had that problem with out navi once (same chassis)....
toyota trucks kick ass.... but nissan titan could be something to consider too... |
my ex had a Tundra and loved it - sold it to get a MR2 - said it was hard to make myself sell it

david didn't you say that you had a toyota pickup once?
|
my dad had a mazda pickup with 200+ thousand miles on the original clutch. He never really had any issues with it either.

the ol toyota's are bullit proof...though i went Dodge/Cummins cause we'll i needed diesel for gas mileage (25mpg) and towing my cars(22mpg)...very satisfied...put about 100,000 towing miles on it...but if you arent going to be doing a lot of towing the toyotas are great...especially the tundra's V8 but nooooooo fuel economy :) but good god they sound nice with a good exhuast
|
The early 90's ones with the 4 cylinders are literally indestructible... Well unless you crash it into a building at like 100 mph... but I read in a magazine about them doing a test similar to the one they did on top gear with the 911, and it kept starting up.
