Audi anyone?
Ok, so I noticed that most Audi and BMW owners respect each other, but not completely and not always.. I know that both are liked for being a European high quality car, but one always seems to be better than the other.. (bmw, ahem! (no im not biased)) lol.. What do you guys think of the Audi/BMW world?

mt friends dad loves Audi, he tried to convice me to get an Audi instaed of the BMW. Its obvious i made the right choice. But once i raced an Audi TT (not in the BMW). I pinned it to like 120kmh when we leveled off for a bit, then he saw me punch it again and he just took off. Like i mean he went from like 120 to 150 in like 3 seconds flat.

BMW = summer car
Audi= winter car
hands down.....Both have superior german quality and are equals with reliability. I have many family members with 540i's,745i's,535i's,S4's(2.7 and v8), Allroad, 4000s, 328ia, M3's and they are all awsome cars(the best IMO). I would just rather have a quattro audi in the snow and my M in the summer time.

Not a fan of an audi/ It's a nicer VW. It's like the Honda/Acura connection of Germany. But the S4 is just flatout a beast...

my girlffriend has an A4 2.8 5-speed, I would take an e36/e46 over it, but I would take a 1.8t A4 over an e36. I would also take the M5 over the RS6.

the better audis are nice, but what audi has mastered, as someone already stated, is snow/dirt traction. audi is known for their quattro and their rally racing
my bro has an audi, lol he wants to get rid of it and buy a bmw. my other bro has an audi quattro, and one time we were doing a trip in a snowstorm, we were 3 hours away from home, (the highways werent plowed, yes, not plowed, and it was snowing for 3 feet but cars kept on going over highway so there was like 2-3 inches packed snow) and the quattro obviously did fine, but the one w/out the quattro did exceptionally well for a front-wheel drive car w/the crappiest tires on there(he has exteremely nice snow tires but is too lazy to put them on) seroiusly, in winter, get a freakin audi

Word.
The small experience i do have with them leads me to beleive they are unrealiable shitboxes. Plus, they all look overstyled and plastic.

This is news to me. My family has had multiples of Audi ranging from 1983 to current models, and not one ever had any major problems.
Plastic ? Where ? And please don't say bumpers because yours are too.

I have a great respect for Audi and love their styles, however if I had enough money for an audi, i'd find a bimmer for that much and get it instead.

someone already said it, and I completely agree:
BMW = car for good weather conditions
Audi = car for poor weather and road conditions
I would much rather have an AWD Audi in the snow than a BMW. It would be able to perform exponentially better. But for good road conditions, the potential of the rear-wheel drive BMW is much higher since the Audi will experience understeer at the limit.

I like Audi...as well. But I don't know if I'd really take it over a BMW. I mean, I knew this guy who had an e46 Laguna Seca M3....and he traded it for an Audi TT. I'm not a huge fan of the TT, but the A4, S4, A6, A8 are all nice. I like those, especially the more expensive ones...
What makes an Audi AWD better than a BMW AWD (for example-330xi)?
