Koenigsegg Sets World Speed Record for Production Cars
http://www.koenigsegg.com
That car is amazing. Does a quarter mile in 9 seconds flat.
The design kind of reminds me of the original bmw mclaren f1 though...

That is why I absolutly love that car.
I have the Top Gear video of that car, AMAZING!!
It set the show's top speed record too.
not many people know how great this car is. maybe bc its not from italy... haha
there was one in the Gumball of 2003 (broke down like a million times) but they did get it to cruise at 280/290 kph for like 15min.

haha.. i cant believe you guys are arguing about speeds that we couldnt reach if all of our speedometer max speeds were added together!!
"I mean 388 or 391?? damn.. i shouldve bought the one that does 391, then I could've outran the pig for sure.. and I couldve gotten that chick.. even with a cold sore."
I dont think it really matters.. ITS FAST AS HELL.. thats all i know

ud be amazed at how much some companys like Koenigsegg will spend just to get the car to 395 instaed of 390, or to have the 0-60 time reduced by a hunredth of a second. records mean sales, and sales means more money for R&D, which in turn means faster speeds which means more records and the cylcle starts agian. Gordon Murray spent ALOT of time at wind tunnels and stuff. he even went out to find out which metals would counduct heat away from the egine the best, he did stuff like that so people would better appriciate the car,and get the car to go faster, and perform longer.
