BMWCCA meet/drive to Winthrop 05/07 (WA)
Yes the same day as tuner bash after dark... but the way i see it is tuner bash goes until midnight... and i think i might end up driving to seattle to leave for this drive... do the drive and end up back in seattle for the car show... its a bmwcca event so that means it wont be to crazy... and fucking around will not be tolerated... (passing on shoulder etc) these events are always really well planned out (roads directions etc) Im still debating going on this.. could be a good time for me to pass out some UB stuff... heres some more details..
**DETAILS**
May 7th Drive over the North Cascades Hwy
On May 7th I'm planning on leading a club drive over the North Cascades Hwy....we will go to Winthrop and Group 1 will return via the North Cascades Hwy and Group 2 may choose to complete the loop via Hwy 2 over Stevens Pass....The North Cascades Hwy has had a record early opening this year and assuming it doesn't close again from these spring snowstorms it should be even more spectacular than usual.
We will leave from two collector points in the Seattle area (Totem Lake and Northgate) with both groups converging at Smoky Point then driving via Darrington to the North Cascades.
Please email your RSVP's and questions to Martin Hovenkotter at mhoven@comcast.net

david i was plannin on goin for this actually.
let me know what you think. i told them i would try to meet them in either arlington or darrington to save gas depending on which way they go. we could just cruise down sat early and grab some krispy kreme and chill out until they get there. then cruise over. were you thinking about doin the loop or just doin n cascades??

you do not need one for this.. but yes it is worth having one! anyways its a 400 mile round trip day of driving... so thats something to take into consideration... lots of driving, a few photostops lunch etc... going to be a hard day! i still havent decided if im going or not yet...

alright guys here's the plan. I'm goin on this but it'd be much cooler if we could get more of us from this forum to go and get to know the guys from bmwcca. From my exp they are hella cool guys that love to drive but aren't insane about it! should be a good trip. they are planning on a show/lunch deal just outside of winthrop once we get there and take a bunch of pics of the cars in the grass at some place.
the plan is to meet them for a drivers' meeting at 9am at the smoky point rest area on I-5 and then head out from there. don't be late Hope you guys can make it!!
i'm not sure if i'm doin the loop or just goin over and back yet
Mileage will be 270 mi from Arlington to Winthrop and then back to Burlington (Over and Back approach)
OR 400 Mi for the full loop down to hwy 2 and back over stevens pass to I-5
