10:00 am to 2:00 pm rain or shine! Where: Bavarian Autosport 275 Constitution Ave Portsmouth, NH (just an hour north of Boston) More info on their website: Bavarian Autosport Anyone in the area planning to go, or interested in going? |
I am watchin my sisters house in N.Berwick, Maine this weekend and I am heading home back to Manch on Sunday so I'll prolly stop by for a little while to check it out. Portsmouth is only about 20 mins. from N.Berwick so I'll definitely stop by.
|
You'll be right around the corner from me Envy. I live @ 10 minutes from N. Berwick.
|
Are you going to the show? If so I'll keep a lookout for your ride.
|
I'll be there. I'm heading down right around 10:00 since it fills up pretty quick.
I'll be on the lookout as well. |
I saw some pics from last years show and I was curious if you have to pay a registration fee for the show and shine. Though I haven't made many performance mods to my car but I have made some cosmetic so I'm not sure if it would be stupid to participate. Did you go last year?
While I'm at it, let me guess a little about yourself. You are 37 yrs old, you work in Hardware Sales, you just got a BMW within the last year, you found this forum, it has consumed you beyond addiction, and you are sitting at your desk right now getting paid to surf the forums. :cheers I'd say that's pretty much the same profile as me except you've got 11 years on me and I'm in Telecom/Network Sales. Gotta love life :redspotda |

Best part...I've given my notice after almost 7 years with this company, so I'm sitting here biding my time, feeding my UB addiction and closing deals until they walk me out. From what I can tell about the Show & Shine is that it's all free. No entry fees and it's open to everyone that owns a BMW. I'm not entering mine as it's Uber stock...but I'd submit yours. There are prizes for best exterior, interior, best of show etc. etc. |
Cool man, I'm not psychic but I read your profile and I'm also sitting at work right now on UB. I am also trying to close up some deals before COB tomorrow. I fucking hate quotas but exceeding them is where we make our $$$. What company do you work for if you don't mind me asking?
I'd like to register mine but I have other obligations that day that would keep me from hanging around for the whole show. I don't think I'll be able to get there until 11 or so, but if I can find the time, I'll go earlier. |
For the next 24 hours I'm at PC Connection...after that, not sure yet. How about you?
|
Oh danm not PC Connection :doh
I work with a few who have worked there and they told me it's an absolute shit show. They track all your cold calls and are very strict. I wouldn't be able to do it. I don't know how you've done it for 7 years, you must be a senior citizen over there. I used to work for a company called Lightship Telecom but we recently got bought out ny a company called CTC Communications. It's by no means an easy job but I've been told it's much more laid back that PC Conn. I've been here for about 2 and 1/2 years and I'm a senior citizen here. There's a pretty high turnover rate for those who can't perform. Do you have another job lined up yet? |

I'm definitely a senior citizen over here. There's only a handful of people company-wide at my tenure level (and that includes the lion-share of our 'executive management'). I have 2 offers that I'm contemplating, and I just had another come into the mix. All 3 places pay better, are more relaxed and have a better reputation. :redspotda |
^^^ Cool man, are those other offers in hardware sales as well? Have you ever worked or considered working in telecom/network solution sales? Since the merger of my company, they have re-adjusted the comp plan to attract very good salespeople and they are paying out very well for over achievers. Even at 100% to goal, the first year Senior Account Executive will make $95,000. Keep in mind that 95K is at goal before the accelerators kick in if you are above quota. The potential for earnings is totally unlimited. On top of the comp plan, you also get a base salary, expenses, benefits, etc. Let me know if you want to hear more about it. I work with a couple others from the seacoast area as well.

Right now I'm in the position of being a whore :itb I'm going to whoever pays me the most. :lol Based on my tenure and account base, I can pull a substantial base which is nice, and I'm in a position I can sit back some and wait until the right thing comes around. Where's your office located? |
I can't say I blame you for being a whore. With your proven track record and tenure at PC, I'm sure you will be hooked up with a substantial base anywhere you go. My company pays out base salaries according to industry experience, tenure, and account base as well. My office is located in Bedford, NH which is probably 45 minutes from you. But as an outside sales rep you are only responsible for coming into the office for a full day Monday, and a half day Thursday 2-3 times a month. Otherwise, you would probably be assigned a territoy near your home so you can work out of your house/on the road 3 days a week.
|
You've definitely got my attention...no denying that.
Are you inside, or outside? |
