Central Massachusetts cruise to the Import Wars @ New England Dragway - United Bimmer Community

Hello everyone. I am putting together another cruise to New England Dragway. My friends and I came up with this idea a while ago and I have attempted it before. But on my first cruise, I didn’t invite that many people…and some of them couldn’t make it. It was still a blast but there were not enough cars. This time I am going all out and inviting as many people as I can. Now I don’t know about you, but I think the more cars…the better. I also took some suggestions from people on the last cruise on how to make it better so hopefully this one will turn out better than the last one. The meeting spot is going to be the same (Greendale Mall) because its easy to get too. But if you don’t want to meet us there or it’s inconvenient you can meet us at the Dragway. I was thinking also about having another meeting spot half way there so that people that live in that direction that want to cruise up with us don’t have to drive down to Worcester, MA and back up again. Anyone think that’s a good idea or a bad idea? I think someone mentioned Andover or something. Suggestions would be good.

You can race, enter the show, or watch. All types of cars or bikes are welcome to come provided they are not crap. And if you have friends with nice vehicles, invite them too.

Meeting Spot: Worcester, MA @ Greendale Mall in the parking lot under the I-190 bridge.

Be there between 11:00 and 11:30AM. We will be leaving a little after 11:30am so we can hopefully get there for the eliminations…however if you want to compete in the show or race, you should to leave earlier. Look at the web site for details.

This cruise is for free and for fun but there will be a small fee at the gate.

BTW…weather permitting. If it rains, the rain date is the following Friday (Aug 12). We will meet at the same place except meet there between 2:30 and 3:00pm and leave at 3:15 and we will cruise up to a regular street night at NE Dragway.

If you need directions, you can do mapquest…but mapquest likes to make things complicated. Your better off e-mailing me and I can give much more simple directions.

Please post if you are interested in this...just so i can get an idea of how big (or small...but hopefully big) this is going to be.

Sounds pretty cool. I am definitely interested but I live in Manchester and Epping is only about 30 minutes from me so I'll probably meet you guys there unless there is a secondary meeting place closer to me.

sounds cool EnvyM3! Yeah manchester is quite a hike from Worcester. We will have a second meeting spot like 2/3 of the way there...but it still might be too far for you. Although I am going to have everyone meet at the Walmart near to dragway before hand so we can all cruise in together...you could meet us there maybe?

Sounds good. How many people are in on this? I know there are atleast a few members from Mass/CT (Hoppy/Celardoor) that may be interested as well. Post this up on Bimmerwerkzzzzzz too if you haven't already.

I have actually posted this on quite a few forums. I have also made flyers and given a countless number of them out and I have gotten a good response from them too.

Im not too sure on a number of cars that are coming...but I do know this: I have a definite 8-10 cars between me and my friends...provided nothing happens to them or their cars...Thats not including anyone from the forums I have posted on or anyone I have given flyers out too. Plus, I stated that "if you have any friends with nice cars, bring them too" on every on-line post and every flier. So I honestly dont know how many cars will show up...but I still think the more the better. And I have had some replies on the forums from people who are interested in going.

I will def. post on Bimmerwerkzzzzzz...thanks for the tip!

Venom, unfortunately I will not be able to attend this meet. I am taking all next week off of work and I am heading down to Florida on Thursday-Sunday to meet up with some old friends of mine. Keep me posted if you ever organize anything else b/c I'd like to take part.
