#2 plug is wet
The #2 plug on my 92 325i is wet with gas. I started my car one day and it was running rough. After checking the plugs noticed a crack in the #2 coil. I replaced it in the dealership parking lot. It ran 90% for 15 min. The coil fires on a different wire. Any thoughts.

Originally it started running rough, then a small amount of the plastic on coil #2 melted (smelled it burning), it also had crack in the bottom.. I then replaced the #2 coil and it ran for 15 min pretty good for 230,000 miles. It started running rough again, and after checking the plugs, #2 is wet with gas, the one with the new coil. Ok, my friend instructed me to test the firing by removing the plug/coil assembly and putting it on #3 grounded to see if it would fire, it did. And the #3 plug/coil assembly wouldn't fire connected to the #2 wire.
Sounds like the wire. Open up the long wiring box that runs alongside the fuel rail. You have to carefully undo the snaps to release the cover- try not to break them. Inside you'll find the ignition wiring. These wires are very flimsy, and often times you'll find one or more wires frayed, chafed or broken, in need of repair.
