Yes or No?
Well whats your oppinion of the Mini's. Yay or Nay. Now from what Ive seen, for the price they are horrible cars. If they were above 20k and below 30k then they would sell like candy. But with a 40k price tag you can get a M3 for a little more and beat the mini's 5x's over. Some of them dont look bad at all, they have good add ons that you can buy, for a crazy amount, IE works kit, rims, decals, suspension ect. With enough money you can make them a decent car, but it would have to be over $40k. Whould any of you seriously pay 600$ a month car payments just to drive a mini when you can drive a top of the line BMW 3 series and some 5's for the same amount? Now lets have an actual conversation here and not just a "Ya, I like mini's"
I had no clue they costed that much. I think they are nice but not 40k nice. With 40k you could have an awesome e46. They seem pretty cool but with a price tag that high I would have to say nay.

I was taking a look at a 05 cooper s with the complete works kit and it was around 40k$. I dont know what the base price is for one but Im sure its around 30k$. And did anyone notice how many are getting traded in and sold as used cars, only telling you one thing. people buy them thinking there gona be fun and they totally hate them.

Your Ride: Whatever I can get my hands on
i have yet to see a mini sold as a used car here in al[haretta.... ever. a lot of people don't pay 40k for them, they pay like 25 fr the S. remember, 90% of americans arent car nuts and don't buy cars for performance. a lot of people buy mini's to relive their youth, because their kids want them or they want the retro look.
i don't know about where you live but here in alpharetta, people buy things like cars just because they want them. and crazy people around here pay that much for what they want. but i'm with you on the M3.
EDIT: that could have easily sounded stuc up. it really wasn't meant to be. i was just speaking of what i know.

Hm. I just bought a mini (it's on the delivery truck right now as I type this). Yes the prices went up on minis, just like they do on BMW's every year so it's not a shock to me.
My mini priced out online was like 23k, but after taxes and crap like that, it came out to be a little over 25k. Of course, I went almost stripped out model on my cooper since my e46 was practically fully loaded, and I decided that I didn't need much of the optional upgrades offered. But if you wanted it fully loaded, it came out to be a little over 40k, which is basically 330 or M3 price range there.
You'll be diggin' that "lil guy" driving in Dallas traffic As far as options, you'll be ahead doing your own "mods" and from what I've heard there's hundreds of things to do to them at a fraction of what the dealer charges. Congrats on the new purchase.

haha, thanks!
I've been kind of experiencing buyer's remorse about my mini since I'm going from an E46 to a little mini cooper, but eh... I can't afford another BMW at the time, and well, if anything, I'm going to a mini because I feel that safety is issue #1. Can't go wrong with BMW engineering, eh!
