I test drove one like a month ago an S the clutch wasn't too smooth the gear switched the second I let go of the clutch pedal and i could also hear it switching.

a buddy of mine has one of the new turbo ones and he just got an exhaust for it. I have been in it a few times, but not since he got the exhaust. The sport mode is such a huge difference. The car is great on gas, and handles very well.

I had the supercharged JCW version... and it did not compare to German-made BMW quality.

After all... how can one expect a car built by workers that partake in frequent "pub lunches" to be as good?

Yay.
I like the mini. Not the new (or simply facelifted) one, the 2006 one.
It handles well, it looks good, and there are some really cool engines.

That's true, british quality sucks. But the engineering is good.
