Hello 3050rpm...i have read some of your posts and u come across as a guru when it comes to BMW's . I have a 1994 BMW 525 i, that has recently given me problems with starting, mostly cold start 9mornings and evenings). Currently the car works because of the following changes done to it:
Vaccum pump hose and other hoses to ensure that the right amount of air is going in for cold and hot starts.
Cam sensor and related DME relay
Fuel Pump Sensor.
Now the car seems to start anyime of the day but between 5:30 and 7:30pm its all up to lady luck . Recently i called the towing company to tow it off to the dealership. He placed the bed underneath my car that jerked and lifted it. Once ready to pull it up he asked me to put it in neutral. Not sure why, but i had this feeling that i should start it and after a few seconds of cranking it started up again. Could the jerking and lifting of the the car have effected the flow of fuel somehow?is the fuel pump about to go?
