Saw an E12 M5 today. Sexy car
Just wanted to say i saw one. I've never actually seen an E12 before, let alone an E12 M5. It was a very sexy looking beast.
It was black with black tint. I think the paint was new it was really really sharp. Had white BBS's with a nice chrome lip. looked pretty good actually. |
Was there an e12 m5, i thought the e28 was the 1st m5.
I checked wikipedia and the closest there would be to an e12 m5 is a M535i which would not have been for sale in the us. Here is the link: Wikipedia 5 series link. I also checked there for the m5 page and there is no mention of an e12 m5. But sounds like a cool spoting, did Cameron in Ferris Buelers day off have an e12 that was his POS, i always thought thats what his car looked like. |
yeah, i musta been an E28. the E12 and E28 are very similar, and the M5 first came out during the E28 era.
|
yes, as the others said, it was probably an e28, however since you probably know what an e12 looks like, it is probably someone who has an e12 that put an ///M5 badge on there :(
|
definitely wasn't an E28. wasnt a M535i either musta been a wanna be. It looked cool though.
|
That would make sense, since the original M, the M1, was produced between '78 and '81.
|
ya was definatly a wanna be, as stated above there was no e12 m5 there was an M535 though

What a funny thing this thread, ever since I saw this thread. I have seen 2 E28 M5's (both mint) and an alpina B7.
