the engine is an engineering masterpiece. The only engines that are more advanced than that is an F1 engine. IMO there is no street engine in production that is greater (however the enzo engine is about equal). But in terms of daily use you can't beat the M5's powerplant |

The style of the new 5 has been growing on me ever since its debut, but the new M5 is pretty sick. It looks mean as hell and can back it up. I am happy to see BMW will take its rightful place back at the top of the luxo sport sedan group. I also think it is cool how Bmw spends the money in r&d to develop these new motors and leaves them naturally aspirated unlike Jag, Merc, etc. that just takes there biggest V8 and supercharges it (lame). Kudos Bimmer on this awesome motor (the e34 M5 is still my fav.) |
