Does anyone know the exact diffrences between a e46 BMW M3 CSL and a regular e46 M3? I know the CSL is lighter I think?

who knows, but they obviously did it for a good reason, probably the reason that the SMG shifts much quicker than any human could ever shift

The CSL weigths 150kg. less then the M3. BMW also put cup tires on the CSL to. U have to sign a waver that lets u know that the tires will not work in the cold and rain. BMW also use lightwieght glass too. Bigger brakes. I think BMW also tuned the ECU differently too.

BMW also came out with the M3 GTR with a 4.0L V8 so they could go racing. The M3 GTR race car got banned from racing in the US.

The GTR had to have at least 1000 produced to keep racing and BMW didn't feel like it. Basically it was stompin porsche and they pitched a hissy fit.
