Man that's unfortunate what happened to your radiator today Harry, but I wouldn't say you're cursed---you just been having a bit of bad luck with that car. Things with the ///M will pick up and get much better. I haven't had mine very long and I have had bad luck also. I wouldn't worry about it.

I replaced my radiator in about 20min. Bleeding the system actually takes longer. Word of advice: if you've never seen it done, pick up a pair of new clips from the dealer. There's a learning curve in removing/installing them, and you may end up breaking them in the process.
c1apton: the fan delete mod was born from the PTG racing teams, and is dyno proven. If done correctly and the rest of the cooling system is working properly, there should be no issues. Typical causes of failure as you might guess are improper bleeding, failure to flush and refill, and incorrect mixture. I do have to say the car is noisier with the mod because the aux fan is constantly running. But I've had my fan delete for a year now with no problems whatsoever . . any issues I've had were atrributed to my stupidity

Team PTG designed it for the TRACK, not for daily driving, especially stop and go. On the track, you are always pushing air across the radiator, since the AC condenser is removed for performance and weight reasons. I still question its abilities on a daily driven vehicle. I still can't believe BMW would run plastic end tanks, no matter how well they are made. I will probably go for an aluminum one during my engine swap later this year.

Harry listen to me dammit, sell that car now, buy ANY car as long as it has a warranty. Some people are just unlucky, you will continue to lose money if you don't do this. I told you this with the 328, and every 2 weeks you prove me right.

Get a car with a warranty!
I agree completely here. You've had more trouble with your cars in the past couple years than chris and I and zak have all had combined. Other than my engine rebuild of course. You really need a warranty. get something certified pre-owned at least.

You have three choices, stand behind our troops, grab a gun and toe the line with our troops, or stand in front of them, they can use the extra armor.

But then I couldn't be his mechanic anymore...

Umnitza now provides a mechanic to install all parts ordered right in the box! It's their new "Total customer service program" that will eliminate all the haters and keep incompetents from breaking **** and blaming the vendor! When you are all set simply call INS and they will pick him up free of charge.
