M Coupe, M Roadster, or e36 M3 poll.
M Coupe , M Roadster , of just a damn M3 ? It's a difficult decision. They all have their great parts and bad parts (well, nothing is bad about any of them, just good but not great parts) ... help me choose.
M3.... and if your not convinced, drop the idea of an M roadster, either mcoupe or M3, and beside, M3 is a bit faster than the other two, right? and if you dont care about that, whichever is cheapest

Id say either the M Roadster or the M Coupe. The M3 is a nice daily driver, but you dont want that if your considering the M Roadster and M Coupe.
You want the M Roadster cause it's a sexy ass convertible car that can still handle track time. You want the M Coupe because it is a track demon and will decimate all. The M3 is kinda more on the M Coupe lines, but not as much, and IMO it's not as eye catching. If you want the ladies, get the roadster, if you want to eat and sleep at the track, get the coupe.

When you are all set simply call INS and they will pick him up free of charge.
Are you looking at an S52 or S54 M coupe or roadster? Either way, i'm an avid M Coupe fan myself. I love the outrageous looks and speeding-bullet performance.

Price limits the S52 and also the fact that the subframe rips out are less with the S52.
It's not really a daily driver. I have a pretty harsh setup on the 325 and don't mind having a more racy setup on the car. I don't need practicality. I'll still have the z3... not that it is practical... at all. The 325 I am giving to my little brother and plan to buy it back in a few years to convert to a pure race car. Probably SCCA ITS or if that shitty restrictor plate is in place still, then BMWCCA JP.
I believe the M Coupe is actually the fastest. I've heard times all the way up to 5.1 0-60, not too sure about them, though. The only problem I have with the M C/R is the fact that they have the archaic e30 rear suspension. My friend has an e30 318 and I definitely prefer the live Z rear axle of the e36 325 for handling on the track. Oh, and the rear subframe failure. Great, it's even worse than the e36 rear chasis failure which really wasn't that bad of a fix.
E30 semi trailing arms are archaic? Just kidding Sounds like you're well on your way to decide. Maybe the bottom line should be which is easier to insure

The insurance on any of them is tough. But it's not like the insurance on the e36 or e36/7 roadster is good, either.
I love the e30, it's just not the right vehicle for me as my main car. I had been entertaining some e30 m3 offers.
I love the M Coupe and M Roadster... even though they have the old(er) (let's face it, the e36 is old balls by now anyways) suspension, it's still good.
