M3General discussion and technical help all year M3 cars.
The one thing I did notice with a coupe is that it doesn't seem as solid as the sedan. All in all though, I am pretty sure Harry made the right decision. I have a feeling he will enjoy this a lot more in the long run.
You know, I think your right.
I think I'll sell it next week and get an M3/4. haha

It is... just comes down to physics... we don't have that structural bar right after the doors... but we have way stronger doors (heavyer I might add too)
Umnitza now provides a mechanic to install all parts ordered right in the box! It's their new "Total customer service program" that will eliminate all the haters and keep incompetents from breaking **** and blaming the vendor! When you are all set simply call INS and they will pick him up free of charge.
Tis' was fun. I love the feel of an M3. That torque that doesn't exist in a non-M really makes me want to sell mine for an M. But then again, I have a 2.9 Stroker coming soon to my local garage.
Looks like Harry needs to learn some manual shift though.
Cheers on the purchase. Now I don't have to install a manual swap + flywheel + LSD.

Well, don't feel bad though. This will be one of like 4 or 5 2.9 strokers built in the US alone. You know how hard it will be to find tuning that won't reem my wallet dry? That's why if you wait long enough and let me do the dirty work, you won't have to worry about that. I am planning on using a megasquirt system as a standalone and go from there. That will be fun, and I don't mind sharing my maps either.

Thanks, yeah, I mean, I dunno, either the system or the massive engien upgrade will be done right after the car is back up. But AA has given me the green light for software though... they said "don't worry about software we've done it before, you just worry about the engine it's self, once you do that we'll reflash your ecu "
Now, this might actually help you though, they have done it in a 325 before...

Yup, and charged 5k for the setup. I am looking to spend max of 2k, and that is with a knife-edged crank.

you son of a bitch. all this talk of turning your 328 into the ultimate power house, then you go and pull something like this. You lying mother f*cker.
haha, just kidding, but this really blew me away, would have thought that you had way too many plans for something like this. I know you will love it, and it's a beautiful car. I may also be interested in a few of the pieces you put up for sale.
BTW- what are you going to do with teh m3 bumper you bought?
