Can you possibly swap a e46 engine with a m3 engine ?

Which E46 engine did you have? The E46 M3 engine is an S54 and is a direct fit in place of an M54 engine. Only issues will be new DME will be required.

so if i have a 330 i 4d can i put a m3 smg e46 engine in that bad boy ?

Yes. An S54 will be a bolt in replacement to the M54. However I dunno why you would want to mate it to an SMG transmission. If I did an S5x swap I'm throwing in a manual transmission. Now the engine bolts in using the factory mounts but other parts from an S54 will be required.
